Spring

Spring is really gathering momentum in England. I saw my first swallow of the year in Gloucestershire on 4th April. I'm still only seeing single birds at the moment though, no flocks yet. This week I'm looking forward to catching up with some iconic Scottish species and seeing how far the season has progressed further north. My favourite sighting so far this month has to be 3 bramblings sitting just a few bushes away from a male redstart - it captured the change of seasons in one shot. Stunning.
